Dad Report: Dad and I talked about body piercing today. I was talking about the day's plans which led to the bizbaz meeting, and event planning and my job. He asked again what I did, and was surprised to hear I was still working for the piercing group. I will start my tenth year with them in January. He asked about how I came to work for them and then asked "when people who get body piercings get pierced, what do they get pierced?" So that was an interesting conversation. He then asked about my piercings. This was a fairly lengthy conversation from start to finish (almost an hour) and then he was the one who ended the call (rare for him).
So we went to the potluck/Meeting for the Bizarre Bazaar (that's hard to type correctly). It was...um...well less efficient than I would like. The State was there to impress upon all of us to pay our share of state taxes. Good christ. I sat and made snide comments under my breath, wholly unprofessional of me I know, and a bad example for the girl. As a major event planner, all I could do is see how they could do things better next time and how their systems may have worked when this event had 7 or 10 or even 50 artists but now that there is 140... they really need to do things a bit differently. Eh. We got our placement (basement in the dark "blackbox" theater room) and our assignments and our instructions. Now we can set about planning the booth space a bit anyway...
I worked on the next batch of Pic*Mic Designs images; and the logo today - this week I should be able to get them sent off to WHCC. [Took a little break to order more clear bags cuz I keep forgetting to!] Tomorrow my Jezebel comes to visit - I am very excited about seeing her. I have few friends here and so, this will be a rare treat.
Can you believe he's taller than his poppa?
Can you believe he wears a size 8 men's shoes?
Can you believe he has a mustache?
Can you believe he'll be 13 in a few weeks?
We cannot believe it.
PIC*MIC Designs got picked up in two treasury postings on Etsy. These are collections with themes that other artist put together - and is usually a great promotion of your products. I note that someone has also already favorited the log cabin one. Let's hope this spurs some sales!

Just to let you know... everyone who has vended in that space has reviewed it favorably, as in, "We made more money in that location than any other year"! So good luck! I hope you do really well!
