I had good reason?

There was a storm.  Lots of rain and thunder and lightening. More earthquakes (though I didn't feel it) and a tornado (not close by).

We had pasta putenesca aka puttanesca (roughly pasta of the whores) last night; we were all achy and crabby and WHY wasn't there anything good on t.v.?

The time change and the weather had thrown us all off, and we were waiting for a guest... I expected her to be quite late, as the storm had been with her the whole way and I knew how this could delay a car trip.

At 9:19, I received a text message saying "I suspect I will be there at 9:19."  What? Huh? She was here!

[No I have no pictures]

So we chatted as girls often do... with a few chuckles and comments from the VHM.  Henry shot us a few glances mainly at the mention of "labia."

The girl has yet to see / meet her, and the girl retires early, at a sensible hour.

Anyway.. in all of this the blog, well kinda got lost... so here's a morning post.

Dad Report:  There should be a mandatory job for someone that works in nursing homes to go around and adjust all the old men's watches after daylight savings time changes... I mean really.  Dad recognized that although "my watch says it's 11:05, I don't think that is accurate."  But believed it was because he tried to turn off his watch the other day and must have accidentally advanced the hour.  I explained that it was DLST; and that I would try and have my little sister adjust it and that he should try and remember to ask the aide (and hopefully that one of them would take care of it).  He said, "oh, I will just remember that it's an hour fast" and when I scoffed a bit at that; he said, "well, I don't use my memory for much, so I should be able to remember that."  Moments later he was back to thinking it was because he had accidentally adjusted it. sigh.   He was off to exercise class... thanked me again for my morning calls.

I'm playing hookey today.  There will be thrift stores and talking and eating and well, who knows!

Random Photo of the morning:

Sadly these both are now just shoots in glasses on my window sill.  I blame the squirrels in their uprooting, but I am certain my very black thumb also has something to do with it.

Ok. More tonight.  I will do my utmost to take pictures.
