I spose I should address the fact that there was no post last night. I blame.. well, the tequila, and the pecan pie. Hard to know which effects me more in a sleepy way, a tiny bit of booze or a medium size amount of sugar. Or maybe it was the snuggle on the chair with the VHM (I slept through yet another movie). It was weird though this morning - I woke up and realized the idea of posting had totally left my mind last night. Even after so many days (anyone counting?) - I just didn't remember I should or had been... maybe I have the Dad's disease...
| Bathed pumpkins |
I was up - bathed the pumpkins (cept for the one I couldn't lift) - cleaned up the kitchen - made the coffee and later pancakes and eggs for the girl and VHM - and then was ready for the carving...
Oh wait before that I spoke with the Momma, and the October, and heard that GMA wanted a sad pumpkin this year cuz she didn't feel well; "one with a tear."
Dad Report: Dad was in good spirits - he had a visit from his wife, and they went out to dinner; he coudn't remember what else they did or where they ate or what he had, but he was sure it was good. My sister tells me that during a phone conversation this week he not only remembered that I was her sister but that my hunny was an electrician (of course, he's an electrical engineer) but the VHM and I were quite thrilled about him remembering at all about the VHM.
Tomorrow's a work day - lots of work on the cards projects. Got to got to.
My sister sent some great new pics - new ideas being formulated - Yay! for new ideas.
Ok. Pumpkin picture time:

Halloween 2007:
| Gma and the girl |
So today the VHM goes on this tear about how we throw away "the bounty of the earth" when we carve pumpkins and how we should do something with it. I told him, "go ahead, do something with it." So he kept his guts:
He made seeds, and he made muffins,
and he made a cake!
AND they tasted goooooood.
He never bakes. Or cooks really much. He calls them Finger Muppins. (don't ask me)
He likes pumpkin too... you can just tell...
