Hang down your head

Sunday.  Up fairly early for me on a Sunday - so much to do.

Here's what I did today:

  • Five loads of laundry
  • I didn't count but watched approx. 15 videos of how to do stuff in photoshop Cs5
  • Called Dad
  • Called Sister
  • Made breakfast for the VHM and I
  • Loaded the dishwasher, and did multiple sets of dishes
  • Straightened up some of my clothes upstairs
  • Bought yarn for a project - completed 1/8 (?) of said project
  • Went grocery shopping - at both stores.
  • Put away said groceries
  • Gave the VHM a massage
  • Cooked Dinner
  • Make cupcakes
  • Discussed with the VHM possible new configurations in the green room
  • Took out the recycling/sorted
It's a pretty good list but I had so much more on the list of what I wanted to accomplish today - so in that regard I didn't get what I needed to -done.

I am going to try and put sometime in on Zboy's drawings tomorrow before work.  Now that I have some knowledge from the videos, hopefully, it will be easier to move forward.  I had hoped to have them already at WHCC by now, so that goal is going to have to be extended.

Dad Report: Dad got to go to the house yesterday and have a meal - I was happy to hear this.  He also expected to be out again today.  We had a nice talk - mainly about the development of computers.  Dad wondered at some point in the conversation when I was talking about taxing my brain trying to learn photoshop - if he had "ever had cause to use a computer in his life." My Dad used to work with computers back when they were huge and took up a lot of space and used punch cards.  We used to get boxes of the cards from him and use them to build houses and then the older kids would build card houses and try and knock each others' houses down with marbles etc.  Anyway... I talked to him about that time period; and how it was when I went to college.  How much it changed from then to when I entered the workforce and then again how much it changed from 86 to the 90's - and how much has happened just in the last 5 years.  This also managed to cue him to tell me again that he had never learned to type.

Winter at Butchart

Sorry - lost in a daydream - not that you would have known it - unless I just told you.

I would like to get back to reading books - I read way too much crap online and not enough actual books these days.  I need a better light next to my bed. Every book light I have ever used sucks.

This is one of those days I am frustrated with this blog.  I feel like it doesn't have a focus or a purpose and isn't getting me to write the kinds of things I want to be writing.  Though I did like Buttered Toast Days - and its the kinda thing that usually just lives in my head until I forget about it - rather than actually being written down.

Random Photo of the day:
 Zboy's TV pumpkin.

The writing:

fond she is
of flesh -

whether skinned and dried, mummified,
pulled plain or painted tight,
drawn, quartered
or sliced just right..

whether pulling, piercing
for love or pleasure..
tasting, teasing
or tearing for measure

fond of flesh... fond flesh she is
