How to make a day disappear

um. yah.  so. I didn't blog yesterday - I thought about it at like 2am [it was actually only probably 11pm at the time but I didn't realize it was so early] and consciously decided I would rather finish what I was doing than get the computer started etc.

My day started early with the neighborhood garage sales - I was up and out of the house, coffee in hand, overly bundled,  by 7:30 for the 8:am start.  Apparently the people in our neighborhood don't realize to start at 8am you must be up earlier than 8am... they were all pokey.. so I wandered about the neighborhood drinking my coffee in the crisp and wet morning air.

I know its a terrible picture - but I really just took it for T to see the stool (or is it a table? - he decided it was a table).  I made two .50 purchases right away; and then had to go back to the house to get a bag (to carry my expected loot) and to strip off a layer (damp yes but not so cold).

I got a soda bottle cap belt, the kind with the seatbelt buckle on it -- but no pics as boy-o is wearing it.  and I got this: mmmmm laser cut stationary.

Although I tried my damnedest, I was unable to find anything else worth purchasing except for another cup of coffee and a brownie from the daycare fundraiser.  There was this duck.

I have yet to learn the lesson that if I want something I should just get it.  Now I am haunted by this stupid little knick-knack of a duck that I saw -- and failed to purchase.  I fell heavily back into bed so reaped the benefits of both getting up early and getting things done - AND sleeping in.

When I went back later (yes I went back later) they were not around anymore. I did drag T out and he got some frames and maps (.10 each!).

We wandered off downtown for the late afternoon.  We almost always go downtown. If you lived here you would know why.

What's that in the distance?

After "a snack of sushi" -- the kids went off to their momma's and T and I settled in for a snuggle and a movie (http://youtube/UrbHykKUfTM)  I tried to embed it - but I am so un-computer saavy.  I need a computer geek friend.

Later, I managed to get a 2nd (or third) wind and get some shit done [the project that distracted me from putting up an entry last night].  Now just the labels on the sets - and we are ready to sell!
