A white rabbit, this way comes...

Well when you have kids; there are sniffles, coughs, and pneumonia; occasionally lice and...the dreaded pink eye. I managed to miss the chicken pox ages, so it's only right that I suffer with some of these others.

Right? I'm desperately trying to be a good sport here. My stepdaughter quarantined her brother all day...I merely called him rabbit.

I have had imaginary pink eye all day. Keeping my hands off my face all day takes an abnormal amount of self control (I can't help it, it's a bad habit). I peered at my eyes, which seemed dry and itchy. Allergies, I'm sure. But doesn't the left one look a little...pink?

Dad report: we had little to say to each other today. I talked about work, and pink-eye; he talked about weather and not being sure how many days he had before he had to close the window. What? What Dad? Well he's not sure when winter will arrive, as he has no memories of winter in this room or building. I reminded him last winter he lived in a different facility. He remembers it as the place he could walk around the halls but doesn't remember where he went to sleep there.

So I've been a slacker these last two nights, posting on my phone--so no pictures; I'll do better tomorrow. It's project day!

Talked to my oldest brother Mark tonight. He's a good man and I don't think he gets much credit for that. It's a blessing he talks to me at all; and I hold this in my heart as a gift.
