I feel like I have accomplished something.

So today was another day of standard work.

And then I get this text message...

the boxes had arrived. Holy Shit.

I refocused and managed to work my full shift.  I walked home. I walked past the boxes.  I made dinner - bacon and pancakes. Why? cuz they are good. I used my brother's pancake recipe-- it makes the best pancakes.

We ate dinner in a bit of a rush as T and I had a "date" to go to the Story Slam.   We went, and it was a lot of fun, way better than I expected. The theme was Lies and the mood was very light hearted.  I even thought about getting up and telling a story. Which is part of the idea behind going... so maybe next month.

We came home.  There sat the boxes.

It was time to open them.

And so I did. The first order of Pic*Mic Design Cards have arrived.   They are not perfect - but they are amazing just the same.  There are no major errors and they appear to be sell-able. Beautiful all around - and I was right my sister's images are perfect for greeting cards.

I was so excited - I called her and then spoke only to her hunny..."if I talk to her she's gonna ask me all sorts of questions"..."you tell her"...   She's on vacation, this will give her something to look forward to after she has to go back to work!

Proof that I opened the boxes.

Dad Report: He was a bit unsettled today - new person as an aide - didn't help him get dressed before breakfast.  When things get mixed up or uncomfortable - he's unable to refocus on other things. I listened to him tell the story a few times and tried to reassure him that someone would come and get him dressed. He seemed un-confident in this - not that I blame him. He was to go on an afternoon picnic, so let's hope the dressing thing didn't interfere.

Tomorrow I will try to get some other pics up of the cards. It's late.

T told me I could be proud of what I've done.  I told T I wasn't going to feel proud until they were all gone.
But I do. I do feel like I have accomplished something.
